This 1993 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4×4 is an attractive pickup with an upgraded exterior

Slick paint, a loaded A/C interior, and a fuel-injected V8 gives it a terrific driving attitude. But while you’ll appreciate this truck’s style, there’s also an underlying quality and care that comes from a pickup that has been with its first owner nearly all its life thus far.

This truck has the kind of history you’ll love. It was with its first owner for over 27 years. And when the pickup has averaged less than 3,800 miles annually, it tells you that it may get driven, but it was not a long-haul workhorse. That’s what a well-respected pickup is all about, and the best ones seem to run strong forever. But history is only part of the appeal. When the right people take care of a truck you also invest in updates and upgrades. So the factory-correct Bright Teal Metallic and Beige Metallic were given a recent respray that keeps this one shining. And the gloss coming off the two-tone showcases the well-respected sheet metal. You’ll also notice the golden pinstripe on the upper body, and this was purposely done to coordinate with the 17-inch Vision alloys. There are even newer headlights and an updated grille to make sure this one puts a bright face forward. But for a pickup to earn proper respect, it also needs to show it can earn its keep. That’s why there’s a trailer hitch and a full bed liner protecting the versatile long bed.

Just like the exterior, the interior shows a well-respected attitude that has the right mix of stock and upgrades. The tan velour seat looks great, and we like how this offers the versatility of a bench while still giving you bucket-like comfort. The door panels, carpeting, and dash all coordinate in tan and look attractive. This is a premium Silverado, and so you have premium features like power windows, power locks, a sliding rear window, a tilt steering column, cruise control, and factory air conditioning now blowing cold with R134a refrigerant. There are nice detail investments like tinted windows and LED footwell lights. And if you like driving music, then you’ll love the Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo upgrade that includes Bluetooth, a USB input, and subwoofer speakers. It was installed only about a year ago with over $1k invested.

Under the hood is an extra-clean 5.7-liter fuel-injected V8. Plus, this newer generation of Silverado was the first to offer an independent front suspension on the 4×4 drivetrain. That means you still get the go-anywhere prowess, but when you’re just riding in the city, this is much more comfortable than other classic 4x4s. In fact, there’s power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive to make this a great pickup for travels near or far.
